Christopher J. Metternich serves as Chief Executive Officer and Founding Principal of Viva Senior Living. In this role, he oversees the operational, clinical, financial, and strategic direction of the organization’s growing multistate senior living portfolio. As an owner of Viva, Chris leads the company’s long-term vision, growth strategy, governance, and overall performance.

Chris brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across senior living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and post-acute healthcare. Throughout his career, including leadership roles with Windsor Healthcare, Vivage Senior Living, and CareOne, he has successfully managed large, multistate healthcare portfolios and developed innovative operating systems that improve quality outcomes, strengthen organizational performance, and support sustainable growth.

As both a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a licensed occupational therapist, Chris brings a distinctive combination of clinical expertise and executive operational leadership. His experience encompasses regulatory compliance, quality improvement, strategic planning, healthcare finance, organizational development, risk management, and large-scale operational transformation. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to stabilize and grow communities, increase revenue, optimize staffing, and enhance resident satisfaction while maintaining an unwavering commitment to regulatory compliance and exceptional care.
